Teacher Appreciation week is a time to show educators how much we value, respect, and acknowledge all of their efforts throughout the year. Educators’ days are fully dedicated to providing the best education possible for students, and ensuring they have the tools they need to advance in all aspects of their learning. In fact, according to Teachhub.com, in an average school day, teachers have only 23 minutes for lunch and or personal time!
Dan Rather once stated, ‘The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth’. When looking back at the teachers that impacted and changed my life this quote is a perfect fit. We can all recall at least one educator that pushed us, encouraged us, and believed in us enough to get us to that next plateau.
At Edmentum, we are in awe of the great work our customers do every day with their students. We hear amazing stories on a daily basis about how they have inspired, encouraged, and changed the lives of so many learners. In honor of all the hard work we see and hear about, we’re excited to announce the launch of the Edmentum Educator of the Year Awards!
Do you know a teacher or educator who exhibits excellence in all that he or she does? We want to hear his or her story and recognize the difference they’re making in the lives of both their students and colleagues!
Here’s how it will work. We are looking to you to nominate your fellow educators for this year’s awards! Once all the nominations are in, we will recognize one Edmentum customer as our 2016 Edmentum Educator of the Year. Additionally, we will recognize one more Edmentum customer as an Inspiring Educator in each of the following categories: elementary school, middle school, and high school. Keep in mind, all nominees must be Edmentum customers to be eligible to participate.
Nominations will be open from May 1-May 31, 2016, so get yours in today! To make a nomination, simply complete this brief questionnaire. Winners will be selected based on various criteria, including, but not limited to: innovation, creativity, Edmentum implementation, technology integration, and student engagement.
We can’t wait to see the nominations and hear all of your inspiring stories!
