Meet Jeri Trice! Sr. Implementation Consultant at Edmentum
Tell us about yourself!
I grew up in a small town in West Texas, finishing high school in San Antonio, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Sam Houston State University, my Masters of Education in Educational Administration from University of Houston, and my Education Specialist in eLearning from Northcentral University.
How did you hear about Edmentum?
I used to teach with Plato in my classroom back in the early 90’s when I was teaching at an alternative school for expelled and adjudicated youth. During that time, I spoke at PLATO’s alternative school conferences in San Antonio. After that position, I started working at a high school and eventually into an administration position there. During my last year, we purchased PLATO for our Title I program. Many of the same people I had previously worked with still worked for the company. When an education consultant position opened, I immediately applied and was hired.
What are you and your department responsible for?
I am a Senior Implementation Consultant in Professional Services. Our team is responsible for assisting clients with implementation plans, professional development, and data analysis after they purchase our product. We work directly with the clients to ensure that their implementation runs smoothly and their needs are met.
What interests you about the field that you are in?
I enjoy working with different clients across various states to help them meet their educational goals. I revel in problem solving and ensuring that clients have the tools they need to succeed.
What is the most enjoyable aspect of your job?
Working with different clients and seeing how education works in different states is very enjoyable!
What activities are you interested in outside of work?
I love geocaching which is a high-tech outdoor scavenger hunt which can be done anywhere worldwide. It is a fun activity which can be done alone or with your entire family. Geocaching takes me to places I would have never visited and teaches me things I would have otherwise never learned.
What are your professional goals?
Eventually, I would like to move into a services management position within the company.
