[Contest Announcement] Edmentum’s Study Island 2019 Summer Academic Sprints
Are you looking for a way to prevent summer learning loss for your students? Studies show that students can lose one month of learning while they are on summer break. As an educator, use the tools you already have to avoid the summer slide and keep your student’s skills sharp. If you’re a Study Island user, sign up your school for Edmentum’s Summer Academic Sprints contest!
Starting May 26, Edmentum is challenging students to answer as many questions correctly as possible in Study Island for a chance to win some exciting prizes! The top student from each grade span (K–6 and 7–12) will win, and two students who answer 20-plus questions correctly for at least 9 of the 12 weeks will be chosen at random to win. Each winner will receive one Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet and a $150 pizza party for his or her class or school!
This fun, summer contest lasts until August 17, providing a perfect solution to keep students motivated and academically sharp all summer long. Ready to participate? Follow these three easy steps to get started:
- Register – A teacher, principal, or school administrator can register his or her school by filling out our quick online form.
- Spread the word – Encourage others within your school or district to participate as well by handing out these parent and teacher flyers! The more who participate, the better your chances of winning!
- Compete – Students with an overall percentage correct of 60 percent or above for the contest period will be eligible to win!
On your mark, get set, sprint! Register your classroom or school to get the competition started before school lets out. Registration is now open, and the contest starts May 26.
