[iNACOL 2016] Spotlight on Study Island

One of the most exciting things about the field of education is that there is never just one way to solve a problem. Educators come up against all kinds of challenges in the classroom on a daily basis—how to measure student progress, how to make the most of limited class time, how to personalize instruction, how to wrangle the energy of 20-plus students—the list could go on and on. There is no right or wrong way to approach these issues, and we’re continually amazed by all of the creative strategies educators dream up.

As an edtech company, it’s our goal to provide tools to support all of these innovative methods, and at next week’s iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium, we’re excited to take the time to spotlight just a few of the awesome strategies we’ve seen with Study Island. We’ll be hosting a Study Island Roundtable Discussion over coffee and breakfast treats to start a conversation about how our comprehensive tool for practice and assessment can give educators the flexibility to engage students, monitor progress, make sense of data, and provide targeted instruction.

We’ve invited our Edmentum Principal of the Year, Robert Kern from Nazareth Area Middle School in Pennsylvania, to share his school’s experience with Study Island. He will share insights on the implementation process and best practices his teachers have found to make the most of Study Island in the classroom. Members of our own Edmentum Services team will also share some of their favorite Study Island features, as well as stories of unique and effective practices they have seen while working with our customers. Finally, our Product Management team will give an update on the latest enhancements we’ve made to Study Island, including our Sensei data dashboard, Group Sessions, and our new Power User Program. And, it wouldn’t be a conference without some swag, so following time for Q&A, we’ll be giving away an iPad mini to one lucky attendee!

If you’re headed to San Antonio next week, we hope you’ll join us for a quick coffee break to learn more about Study Island! Register here for our Roundtable Discussion on Thursday, October 27, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, and check out this blog post to learn more about what’s new in Study Island!
