New National Standards for Quality Online Programs and Calvert Learning’s Role

Calvert Learning is proud to participate in the process of updating the National Standards for Quality (NSQ) Online Learning led by Quality Matters (QM) and the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance (VLLA). In a world filled with so many online content options and teaching modalities, it’s critical that the standards for online learning and teaching stay current and reflect the industry’s latest thinking.

It’s been gratifying to work with NSQ in developing the latest standards and exemplars, which will help districts ensure quality as they adopt new education strategies and models. Teachers will have a clearer sight of the “North Star” for online and blended instruction, which will improve professional development and, ultimately, help students.

Calvert enthusiastically supports the new standards, which we will adopt in adding value to our school partners with curricula and instructional services. We’ve been continuously improving for over a century, and these standards are a piece in that evolution.
