[Program Enhancements] Courseware New Releases for Summer 2018

It's been a busy summer for our Courseware team at Edmentum, as we recently completed several enhancements in response to feedback you've continued to share with our teams through Seehive, satisfaction surveys, onsite visits, and usability studies. We used the data to inform the redesign and development of Courseware, and we remain committed to listening to our education partners. We are excited to share the new enhancements and eager to work together as you prepare to head into the new school year!

Our focus centered on four key components to support online programming:

  1. The educator experience – We are keenly aware that time is a precious commodity in education. Our goal was to redesign the application to save you time by making it more intuitive and user friendly. Whether you’re working as an administrator or instructor in the system, you will experience easier navigation throughout the application and faster management of student tasks through individual and multitask menu options.
  2. Administrator data views – Critical to any online program implementation is the ability to quickly gain insight to how well students are being served. The new administrator landing page provides an at-a-glance view at key data points around enrollment, usage, and performance meant to provide program guidance and help uncover questions about the implementations to determine next steps in serving your students.
  3. Customized instruction – You can modify your program, your way! We celebrate and encourage diversity in online programming to meet educational outcomes. This summer, we’ve expanded the Gradebook to include custom settings for permissions, weighting, grading scales, and tracking credits at both the account and program levels. Noninstructional days may now be excluded from pacing, aligning to local calendars and improving students’ targets to course completion.
  4. Course library expansion – We’ve continued to broaden our course libraries with new, engaging curriculum aligned to national and state standards. For the start of the school year, we’ve released a brand-new Chemistry course and courses for CompTIA A+ exam preparation, as well as several state courses.

Online learning continues to be a significant and defining aspect of 21st century education. As the virtual education environment continues to expand and students need more opportunities to meet their educational goals, we are challenged to develop an innovative and customizable solution aligning to your program goals and objectives. At Edmentum, #EducatorFirst is a commitment that is the foundation of decisions we make every day. I encourage you to learn more about the new enhancements from our What’s New page and take a quick guided tour as you sign in to the application.

Finally, I wish you a successful start to the school year and look forward to hearing your feedback!
