[Spring CUE 2023 Conference] Exploring Extended Learning Opportunities at CUE

Later this week, Edmentum will join thousands of partners and colleagues at the Spring CUE 2023 Conference March 16-18 in Palm Springs, California. The conference gives educators and industry leaders a chance to discover the latest innovations in teaching and learning, as well as connect with partners in the  learning technology industry. Edmentum is an official exhibitor at this year’s conference as well as the host of  a panel discussion on Friday, March 17. The session will focus on how schools and districts can meet the needs of their students by offering supports that extend beyond the typical school day.

Addressing New Extended Learning Opportunities for California Students

When: Friday, March 17

Time: 10:05am – 10:55am PT

Location: PSCC - Smoketree DE

Expanded Learning Opportunities programs are intended to provide students from kindergarten through sixth grade (TK-6) with student-centered, hands-on, engaging learning experiences that focus on the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of students. By providing access to learning programs before school, after school, during the summer, or via intersession learning programs, students engage in results-driven learning activities that complement, but do not replicate, learning activities in the regular school day and school year. In this session, learn how school districts and charter schools are partnering with community-based organizations (CBOs) to offer programming and supports that extend the learning day for students.

Speakers:

  • Lexi Backstrom - Administrator, Student Behavioral Health and Support, Riverside County Office of Education
  • Scott Payne - Director of Expanded Learning Programs, Hemet Unified School District
  • Adolfo Herrera - Elementary School Principal, Santa Ana Unified School District

We look forward to connecting with educators and leaders who are passionate about learning technology. If you are attending the conference, please consider attending our session, and stop by our booth (#617) to meet with our team, as well as the chance to win our exciting booth giveaway—a cooler bag full of Edmentum swag. We hope to see you there!
