The Summer Academic Sprint Results Are In!

Summer is coming to an end which means our Edmentum Summer Academic Sprints featuring Study Island have officially closed. We are thoroughly impressed with how many students participated in this summer’s challenge, and want to thank everyone who took time out of their summer break to earn those Blue Ribbons! While summer break is often about swimming parties, late nights, sleeping in, and no school, it’s wonderful to see so many schools and students prioritize summer learning. Now, without further ado, we’re excited to share some results and highlights!
- 353 schools took the eight week sprint challenge
- 14,352 students across the United States participated
- Over 1.4 million questions were answered correctly
- 55,773 unique Blue Ribbons were earned
The 2016 Summer Academic Sprints School Winners
- Grand Prize: Urban Pathways 6-12 Charter School earned an average of 29.5 unique Blue Ribbons per student
- Elementary School Winner: North Star Central Elementary School earned an average of 15.5 unique Blue Ribbons per student
- Middle School Winner: Lyndon B. Johnson Middle School earned an average of 24.1 unique Blue Ribbons per student
- High School Winner: Wagoner High School earned an average of 23.4 unique Blue Ribbons per student
The 2016 Summer Academic Sprints Student Winners
- Grand Prize Winner: 3rd grader Sanjana earned 165 unique Blue Ribbons
- Elementary School Winner: 1st grader Anthony earned 144 unique Blue Ribbons
- Middle School Winner: 7th grader Cadence earned 93 unique Blue Ribbons
- High School Winner: 9th grader Michael earned 110 unique Blue Ribbons
