Bernell Jones, who has taught 7th grade math at White Station Middle School in Memphis, Tennessee, for the past 16 years, was recently recognized as one of Edmentum’s 2019 Inspiring Educators. He was distinguished for his outstanding commitment to his students, his creative use of technology in his classroom, and the encouraging and supportive environment he has curated in his classroom with his students. We had the opportunity to chat with Mr. Jones about the ways he uses technology to support his instruction, how he gets his students to love math, and how he uses Study Island to make some noise in class.
We have three updated and newly created preparation courses for the ACT WorkKeys exams that reflect updated standards and requirements from ACT®. Each of these courses is leveled to match the assessments and help students improve their knowledge. Students will find that each level builds upon previous levels, requiring cumulative knowledge of prior and current levels to move ahead successfully in a course.
This past March, I had the pleasure of speaking with kindergarten teacher Courtney Munsell and 5th grade teacher Nikki Privett, both educators at Fortville Elementary School in Indiana. In our conversation together, they quickly began comparing and contrasting their use of Study Island, Edmentum’s K–12 practice and formative assessment program.
