Tonya Davis is a member of Edmentum's Educator Network. With an educational career spanning 23 years, Ms. Davis has had a wide variety of experiences that have shaped her beliefs in education and serving students. She currently serves as science department chairperson and educational technology specialist at the Orangeburg High School for Health Professions, Orangeburg, South Carolina. She has taught a variety of sciences, including physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, astronomy, and earth science. Additionally, she is the President Elect for the South Carolina Science Council (SC2) Board of Directors. She believes that although content is important in education, teaching the WHOLE student is crucial for proper development. Ms. Davis has a B.S. in biology from Xavier University of Louisiana, an M.A. in curriculum and instruction from Nova Southeastern University, an M.Ed. in educational administration from American College of Education and will commence doctoral studies in January 2022.
