Here’s a list of our presentations that are in the running:

AR: Driving Equity & Opportunity in Education

We will explore the potential of augmented reality (AR) as a tool to overcome some of the biggest barriers in education and as a means to provide equitable access to arts, culture, and the humanities. While it may never be possible to ensure that every student in America has a chance to visit the Museum of Modern Art or the Smithsonian museums, it is possible for students to engage in these enriching experiences through vivid, three-dimensional, visual and audio experiences.

The Role of Edtech Standards in Education

A seamless integration between digital learning programs and districts’ data systems is one of the biggest opportunities for saving one of the most valuable resources in an educator’s toolkit: time. During this presentation, led by Edmentum’s Chief Technology Officer Paul Johansen, attendees will explore the top five ways in which emerging interoperability standards will impact educators and students on a day-to-day basis in the future.

Ensuring Equitable Access to Digital Curriculum

Digital curriculum assets are changing the way many classrooms run and students learn. But, what about the classrooms in school districts that can’t afford this technology? Attendees of this session will hear from Mark Radcliffe, Education Program Consultant at Edmentum, about research on the challenges that underfunded schools face when it comes to staying abreast with current technology and digital curriculum developments, and he will discuss possible solutions with session attendees.

Putting Educators at the Heart of a Business Model

Edmentum’s “educator first” philosophy represents its collaboration with educators to ensure that its programs are meeting their needs, which, in turn, creates a culture that attracts passionate and talented employees. Edmentum CEO Jamie Candee and COO Ryan Hagedorn will discuss how “educator first” transitioned from a customer service mentality to a companywide philosophy and how businesses in the education space can make a positive impact on their customers while meeting business goals.

How Teachers Make the Most of Edtech Advancements

Rapid technological advances in the edtech space take place every day. For a classroom teacher with too many responsibilities to count, keeping up with edtech advancements is not always a first priority. Attendees at this session will get a glimpse into what the future of the edtech space will look like and how these advancements will empower teachers to do what they do best—help the next generation of leaders develop the skills necessary to succeed.
