[Weekly Inspiration] Tucked-in Tuesday on Facebook Live

All educators know the importance of reading aloud to children. Most educators also know the struggle of getting children engaged and fostering a love for reading outside of the classroom. That’s the inspiration behind one southeast Texas principal’s new online movement, Tucked-in Tuesdays. After long days at school, Belinda George, a first-year principal at Homer Drive Elementary in Beaumont, Texas, snuggles into a pair of pajamas and reads her students a bedtime story via Facebook Live. She calls it “Tucked-in Tuesdays” and it’s catching on among teachers across the United States. Check out the interview above to see what she’s doing to grow this incredible movement.
