“[Study Island] is very easy for both students and teachers to use. After giving my students the login and a few other simple directions, students were able to navigate through the website to find the necessary lessons and practice problems easily. How did you make use of Study Island or integrate it into your lesson plans?

“[Study Island] was very easy to integrate into my regular lesson plans. After teaching in a whole-group setting, this website was utilized easily by all students. Students were broken up into groups based on ability. This website worked well for remediation using the "lesson" tab. Here, students would review the basics of the lesson as needed to increase their knowledge of the previously taught content. This website worked well for accelerating students as well; for acceleration, students were able to answer relatively challenging questions and maintain their engagement with the math games available after correct answers were submitted.”

“I focused much of my integration with the Study Island MAP link to help my striving students. I also used the animations [for] whole group [learning]. It is easily integrated into all subjects.”

Would you recommend Study Island to a teacher at the appropriate grade/age level? Why or why not?

“Yes, I would definitely recommend this product to another teacher. This [web-based program] provides a fun and interactive way for students to practice the curriculum. Teachers are able to remediate, accelerate, or have daily practice for all students. This [web-based program] offers electronic practice, traditional printed worksheets, and interactive games!”
