[Edmentum’s Commitment] Expanding Study Island’s Partnership with NWEA MAP Link for Grades 9-12
[Edmentum’s Commitment] Expanding Study Island’s Partnership with NWEA MAP Link for Grades 9-12

We’re pleased to announce that the partnership between Edmentum’s formative assessment solution, Study Island, and NWEA™ MAP® Link is being expanded to cover grades 9 through 12! Since 2012, Study Island and NWEA MAP have provided students with an individualized learning path through their MAP Rasch Unit (RIT) scores, and now high school educators and students can experience the same.
So what does this partnership mean for you and your high school students? It means that you now can provide targeted, individualized instruction to meet each student’s needs, while still reinforcing key concept areas. Educators using both Study Island and MAP growth assessments can easily pinpoint academic strengths and weaknesses through MAP test results and then automatically target those areas with Study Island’s standards-based content. Each student will receive a tailored learning path within Study Island based on his or her individual MAP Rasch Unit (RIT) scores. The integration, which is currently available in grades 3 through 8 will now extend into high school grades as well.
“I’m pleased to announce that our partnership with NWEA is expanding to reach our high school users,” said Hugh O’Donovan, one of our Edmentum product managers. “Study Island NWEA MAP Link users in grades 2–high school will benefit from having a comprehensive solution targeted on standards development and practice in reading and math, focusing on each learner’s key areas of need.”
The expansion of this partnership provides valuable opportunities for growth for high school students as well as support for their educators. No student’s education should suffer because they need reinforcement in certain areas, and a personalized learning path unique to their strengths and weaknesses helps to level the playing field and improve student outcomes. We’re excited to be able to offer this powerful resource to more leaners and educators!
