Safer Internet Day – February 7, 2023
It’s safe to say we’ve all probably spent a little more time on the internet over the last year than we have in years past! All the more reason to observe Safer Internet Day with your students this month! (Though, is there ever a bad time to brush up on internet safety tips?) Safer Internet Day aims to help make the world wide web a safer and more secure place for everyone, especially children and young people. With Edmentum’s Safer Internet Day Classroom Resources, you and your students can learn about and discuss how to keep safe when using the Internet with engaging activities, fact sheets, critical thinking questions, and a fun poster!
President’s Day – February 20, 2023
On the third Monday of February, we observe Presidents’ Day, which stands to honor the life and legacy of our nation’s first president, George Washington (though his real birthday was February 22). Explore the interesting origins of this unique holiday with your students with the help of our Presidents’ Day Classroom Resources. This pack includes fact sheets, critical thinking questions, and activities that will get your students thinking about the legacies of some of our nation’s most influential leaders!
