The International Society for Technology in Education conference just wrapped up and left many educators motivated to take on the next year. An Education Dive article claims that the Day 2 keynote speakers inspired them to be ‘limitless’. The following were just some of the inspirational speakers from ISTE 2019 day 2 and a little bit about what they said.

Alicia Duell, Director of Technology and Information services at Wheeling CCSD21
Alicia shares her story of getting fired from her dream job as a central office administrator. She shares how she thinks talking about failure and not seeing it as a weakness is critical for success.

Sharif El-Meeki, Founder of Fellowship: Black Male Educators for Social Justice and Director of The Center for Black Educator Development
Sharif El-Mekki made an emphasis on how important mindsets are, especially for how educators think about the communities they serve and the lessons they teach.

Phil opened up about his difficulties with a hand tremor that made what he loved to do, create art, very difficult, but after giving up, he found another approach to his passion.
“Embracing a limitation can actually drive creativity,” he said, “We need to first become limited to become limitless.”
