[Weekly Inspiration] It’s A Beautiful Day to Celebrate Mister Rogers

Many of us know – and cherish – Mister Rogers. He was a staple of American children’s television from 1968 – 2001 and taught growing children across the nation valuable lessons about friendship, loving each other and yourself, and talked through tough topics like death or divorce. In honor of what would have been Mister Rogers’ 91st birthday on March 20, we wanted to take a look back at a few of our favorite inspiring quotes from our childhood hero.

“If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.”

“There are 3 ways to ultimate success: the first way is to be kind, the second way is to be kind, and the third way is to be kind.”

“The world needs a sense of worth, and it will achieve it only by its people feeling that they are worthwhile.”

“There’s no person in the whole world like you, and I like you just the way you are.”

“The greatest gift you ever give is your honest self.”

On March 20, take a moment to reflect on these powerful words and the impact that Mister Rogers had on your life and the lives of many children across the world.
